— Rise and Fall of Tsarist Russia
Rise and Fall of Tsarist Russia
Tsarist Russia, also known as the Russian Empire, rose to power in the 16th century and reached its peak in the 19th century. However, it eventually fell in 1917 during the Russian Revolution.
Initially founded by Ivan the Terrible, the Russian Empire expanded rapidly under Peter the Great and Catherine the Great. However, internal unrest, economic struggles, and military defeats led to its downfall, culminating in the abdication of Tsar Nicholas II and the rise of the Bolsheviks.
